Embodied mental health and wellness services for Alaskans

Change requires movement

somatic movement therapy

How do you move through the world? With tense, stress-filled shoulders? Sagging from difficulty sleeping? In a daze due to distractions or grief? These movements and postures affect your relationships with others and can leave you feeling lonely, scared, or in pain without knowing why. Embodiment means acknowledging your lived experience and starting where you are here and now. Let’s get to know you from the ground up!

heal from trauma

When words are not enough

You may have tried counseling before and felt stuck repeating the same story, unable to get the results you want. Or perhaps you’ve thought about therapy but are worried you won’t be able to explain everything. Somatic and movement therapy works on a deep body-based level to help you re-pattern responses to stress and heal from trauma that may be unconscious or unspeakable.

The good news is your body is super smart. Although you may have trouble slowing down, being present in relationships, or navigating the world in a body that doesn’t match who you are on the inside, somatic therapy can help you find your core— a whole person worthy of love, joy, and liberation.
